  Dear Sir,

  As soon as I saw your Website for cruise ship job, I was interested to offer my services and I think that I have the qualifications specified in the vacancy for the position of Floor Supervisor or Waiter.

  I am 39 years of age, married and have young look and pleasant personality. I had completed a high school from El Rancho secondary school, Colombia in 1989. I wanted to sit for university entrance examination, but my parents could not afford my educational fees.

  Therefore, I decided to search for job in which I was able to start from below level. Thus, I started working at South Beach Hotel as a Bellboy whose main responsibilities include serving or delivering food and beverage, handling the luggage and escorting the guests.
  In 1993, I was promoted to be an Accountant. In this capacity, I was responsible for a complete set of books by double entry, controlling accounts, making out weekly and monthly profit and loss accounts and balance sheets.

  In 1994, I was luckily employed by Carnival Cruises Lines USA. in the position of Cleaner whose main responsibilities include escorting the guests and assisting the cabin stewards cleaning the cabins, and at the same year I got promoted to be a Bell boy whose main responsibilities include serving and delivering food and beverage to the guest rooms.

  In 1995, I was again promoted to be a cabin steward. In this capacity, I was responsible for supervising assistant cabin steward cleaning the cabins, escorting the guests with solving the problems involving to the guests. Moreover, I sometimes have to take a good judgement on certain sensitive issues and be diplomatic at all times.

  Eventhough, I have been enjoying my work for 14 years with Carnival Cruise Lines but I would like to widen my experience which should be more challenging and I feel that my qualifications and experience have already prepared me for greater and brighter prospect as it offers an opportunity for advancement for dynamic candidates.   hmm, be warned all, cruise ship jobs are not what they used to be – I have been there and done that, and have worked on 6 ships… I used to work with Princess Cruises… what a fantastic time I had, but with the takeover by Carnival, these people wil not treat you well, nor give you your respect… Choose carefully, and ask lots of questions of your chosen role on board, to ppl who have been there. facebook pages are a good start….
